Professional mental health, outreach, and educational services are available. Health ServicesStudent Health Center Bldg. 27: (805) 756-1211 Services available to students as part of the health services fee include outpatient medical services as well as health education programs on nutrition, alcohol and drug awareness, and sexuality and lifestyle wellness. Additional services are available at a low cost and include pharmacy items, lab tests, and immunizations. The Study 25-35 Hours per Week ProgramA typical high school student spends 30 hours a week in class but less than 5 hours a week studying outside; a recent national study reported homework time at 19 minutes per day. However, in college the typical student needs to study at least 2 hours per unit which equates to approximately 25-35 hours per week. Below are resources which can be useful for the new student:
